INC. Magazine’s 26 Women To Change The World
This Girl Took Off Her Clothes In Times Square
Imagine a girl who shows up on Times Square New York, blindfolded then suddenly took off her clothes holding a sign that says: “I am standing for ANYONE who has struggled with a SELF-ESTEEM ISSUE like me… ALL bodies are BEAUTIFUL. To support SELF-ACCEPTANCE, draw a heart on my body.”
Well, that courageous girl is Virginia Salas Kastilio.
She stood up for what she believed in and did an incredible thing to empower women around the world. And because of this, she was named 1 of 26 Women to Change the World by Inc. Magazine.
Today, Virginia has built multiple empires, she is currently helping “reconnect” humanity and bring consciousness into the mainstream through The I Trust You Movement. Virginia currently lives in Bali as she scales I Trust You, advises for different Blockchain projects, and mentors some of the most influential thought-leaders of our time in personal growth and well-being.
Road To Self-acceptance
“You are imperfect, permanently, and inevitably flawed. And you are beautiful.”
― Amy Bloom
Like many of us, Virginia also had Self-esteem issues which lead her to struggle with self-acceptance.
Self-acceptance is defined as “an individual’s acceptance of all of his/her attributes, positive or negative.” It includes body acceptance, self-protection from negative criticism, and believing in one’s capacities.
It and is thought to be necessary for good mental health.
Many people have low self-acceptance. The reason for this is that because we develop our self-esteem, from others appreciating us. People with low self-acceptance may have had parents who lacked empathy during their childhood or in their adult lives, they are being bullied by people because of their appearance.
People with low self-esteem often think of themselves in very critical ways, such as…
“I’m not good enough,”
“I’m a failure,”
or “I’ll never amount to anything.”
And with these thoughts come painful feelings, such as sadness, anger, anxiety, fear, and worthlessness.
As a result, people with low self-esteem may find it harder to make decisions, because they doubt that they’ll be successful. They also find it harder to make friends, because they’re shy or they don’t think other people will like them.
In addition, people with low self-esteem frequently stay away from situations in which they might be judged, so they avoid taking chances or trying new things, especially when other people are around.

Faith In Humanity Restored
When life is throwing you curve balls and you can barely trust yourself, or when life gives you a reason to really not like yourself, those are the times in which your friends come in and support you as who you are. But how great it can be if a complete stranger comes to the rescue?
Witnessing acts of kindness from random people boosts our positive emotions, and also promotes our love for our fellow humans and inspires us to be better people too.
Conclusion
It’s important that you start knowing what you stand up for, and what you want. Standing up to anything that’s wrong is showing strength in the character. By doing so, you are creating a better life for yourself and others.
